Mmmmmm I do need a coffee after my rooms smoke detector went haywire at 5 AM and I had to take it off the wall and bury it in a towel.

Ugh, that’s the worst. It’s impossible to think through a logical way to make it stop when it’s so early and the alarm is so loud.

Oh I had plenty of time to think through it as it was earsplittingly loud and it was near 10 minutes before I got it off. It was actually wired into the wall so getting it off wasn't easy. Weirdest thing is I think it was set off by unusual levels of humidity in the room. It's happened before with open windows but never just randomly like that.

I’ve broken one before...like that scene from grandmas boy where the grandfather clock is going off in his room and he’ s like frantically pounding on the door like “Stop! What’s going on! Why are you doing this to me!!!”
